On June 9th Fr. Krizner celebrated 42 years of priesthood. Born and raised in the Cleveland area, Fr. Krizner attributes his witness of faith to his devout parents and the priests and monks he was blessed to know from his childhood parish of St. Catherine’s and Benedictine High School. Fr. Krizner was ordained on June 9, 1979. His first assignment was parochial vicar at St. Columbkille in Parma where he was known for his vibrant youth ministry program and original programs like the “Amazing American Penny Carnival” and “The Little Christmas Village”. Father’s next and longest assignment of twenty-two years was at Holy Name High School as the school’s chaplain. Hundreds of alumni are blessed to have worked with him through Campus Ministry. His influence resounds in the school today through his continued programs and relationship with current classes. Today, we’re blessed to call Fr. Krizner the Pastor of St. Colette. Since 2007, Father has transformed our humble parish to a welcoming, vibrant, faith-filled community. Our prayers and well-wishes go with him throughout this next year as he continues to shepherd Christ’s flock.
